NPR Transcripts & Audio Files in Academic OneFile

December 13, 2006

Our database Academic OneFile  ( Home Access | In Library Access ) has added transcripts and audio files from National Public Radio (NPR) programs to its database.  When you search in OneFile, you will find the transcripts under the Multimedia tab at the top of the results page.

Programs included are All Things Considered, Day to Day, Morning Edition, News & Notes, Talk of the Nation, Talk of the Nation Science Friday, Weekend All Things Considered, and Weekend Edition Saturday.

If your library is not part of the Minuteman network but you live in Massachusetts, most Massachusetts library cards will give you access to the database here (the Academic OneFile database with NPR transcripts is one of the magazine and newspaper article databases).

If you do not have a Massachusetts library card, check with your local library to find out if you have access to this database or something similar.  You may be surprised at all that is available to you with a library card!
